Got Tangles?

We use a combination of a clean coat, deep conditioner, our high velocity blow dryer, a leave in detangling spray, and our favorite brushes and combs to gently work out tangles and prepare your pet’s coat for a flawless haircut. Additional charges will apply. We don’t recommend more than a half hour of detangling for one grooming session. If the tangles have become too tight to your pet’s skin or are covering a large portion of their body/legs, we will carefully remove them with a shorter length. We are happy to coach you on how to brush and comb your pet’s coat at home and may recommend more frequent grooming sessions or a shorter length to better meet your needs and lifestyle.

*Hourly Rate - $80/hour

handling/behavior

We use a combination of a relaxing environment, gentle handling, and high safety standards to create a low-stress, enjoyable experience for your pet. If your pet is wiggly, sensitive, or nippy for parts of the grooming process, it may take more time (and possibly require a second person to help hold and soothe your pet during the grooming process). In these cases, extra charges will apply.

*Hourly Rate - $80/hour

de-shedding treatment

Enriched with omega fatty acids, chamomile, aloe vera, vitamins and plant extracts to help protect against excess shedding. This quality shampoo and conditioner help loosen dead undercoat in the bath. We then use a high velocity blow dryer and deshedding tools to help remove loose undercoat. This treatment smells wonderful and is great during seasons when your dog is shedding their winter or summer undercoats. *Included with all of our basic packages as needed for double coated breeds. ($135 Minimum Charge.)

Anti-itch medicated Shampoo

Contains a gentle yet powerful combination of alpha hydroxy, beta hydroxyl, and tea tree oil that exfoliates the skin’s surface and penetrates deep into the pores to cleanse and help soothe dry, itchy, irritated, and inflamed skin. Fast acting allergy relief.

Got Fleas?

Our flea and tick shampoo kills fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes and soothes irritated skin. This natural essential blend contains nature’s most powerful pest fighting ingredients, maximized with lemongrass and sesame oil for long lasting effects. Safe to use on dogs and puppies 12 weeks and older.

*$25 extra for flea removal and van clean-up

For the safety of all the animals in our care, we require that all pets be current on their monthly flea and tick preventative unless otherwise directed by your veterinarian. If you suspect your pet may have fleas, administer their topical treatment a minimum of 48 hours before their appointment. Let us know as soon as possible, so we can allow extra time for the bath and clean-up.

Got Skunked?

Skunk spray needs to be washed off immediately. To keep our van clean for you and other pet parents, we will have you do the initial wash at home. You can use a shampoo formulated especially for deodorizing skunk odor or create a mixture at home with ingredients you can find at your local grocery store. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO NOT SPRAY YOUR DOG DOWN WITH WATER BEFORE APPLYING PRODUCT. To create your own mixture at home, use a combination of 1/4 cup baking soda, one quart 3% hydrogen peroxide, and 2 tablespoons of dish soap. Mix into a frothy lather and let it soak for 15 minutes or more, being careful not to get the solution in your pets eyes. We can then schedule your pet for a follow up treatment.

*$25 extra for skunk treatment and van clean-up

Skunk spray acts like a stain and can be difficult to remove completely. You may notice that the the smell returns every time your pet gets wet until the stained hair grows out or is trimmed off.

NAIL GRINDING

We use a small Dremel tool to file the nails all the way up to the quicks, rounding off the sharp edges, getting them smoother and shorter than regular nail clipping. (Included in all of our basic packages.)

***Please note that we do NOT offer nail grinding as a stand-alone service. For nail trimming services as a stand-alone service, we recommend Heidi with Pretty Paws Mobile Nail Trim: https://www.facebook.com/prettypawsmobilenailtrim ***

*Please note that prices listed are estimated and based on time.

The size of your pet, the density and condition of their coat, the desired length and style, how your pet does for the grooming process, and how long they go between grooming appointments can all play a role in time and cost. Prices listed on our website are estimated.

Plaque cleaning - $7

Our PlaqClnz professional procedure is quick, easy, and effective. The spray and gel are taste-free, so even finicky pets accept them easily. We pre-treat your pet’s mouth with plaque cleanse spray at check-in. During the bath we gently flush the mouth with the PlaqClnz Oral Irrigator to remove loose plaque and debris. We then post treat with the PlaqClnz gel for continued cleansing care. For optimal results, pre-treat daily at home with PlaqClnz gel about a week before your pet’s grooming appointment.

How to prepare for your dog’s first Appointment

  • We require a current physical copy of your pet’s rabies vaccination. Please have this ready at check-in. We also encourage you to have you pet up-to-date on their Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine.

  • For the safety of your pet and the other pets in our care, we ask that your dog be current on their routine flea and tick preventative. If you use a topical treatment, make sure to apply it at least 48 hours before the bath so it can fully absorb into their skin. If applying after a bath, wait 48 hours for their natural oils to return before applying.

  • When you book your appointment, we will send you a copy of our Intake and Release Form. This provides us with a basic health and grooming history on your pet and helps us get to know you and your pet a little bit better. Please print, fill out and have this ready at check-in.

  • Begin getting your dog used to brushing and combing and having their paws handled. For puppies that are new to the grooming process or sensitive to loud noises, you can get an inexpensive electric toothbrush and practice running it over them to help get them used to the noise and vibration of clippers.

  • Give them a chance to relieve themselves right before their groom. This will give them a much more comfortable grooming experience.

  • For energetic dogs, it can be helpful if you exercise them to drain their energy and then allow them some time to relax and calm down before their appointment.

  • Let us know where you would like us to park. For example: in the driveway, along the street, or in designated area for public parking. We will need a space large enough for a standard sized utility van.

  • Dogs will pick up on your energy both before and after the groom. If you are relaxed leading up to the groom, they will be more relaxed. If you tell them how amazing they are afterwards, they will feel amazing.

  • If after your first grooming appointment you decide that Furrytale Mobile Grooming is a good fit for you and your pet, we encourage you to pre-book your next appointment and get your pet on a regular grooming schedule. Our schedule usually fills up about 6-8 weeks in advance. We cover different areas on different days. Booking ahead of time will save your pet a spot on our schedule and ensure that we will be in your area at a time that best works for you.

  • Please take note of our cancelation policy and give us a much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your pet’s appointment. Appointments canceled or rescheduled two days before your appointment will be charged a cancelation/rescheduling fee of 50% of the scheduled service per pet. Appointments canceled or rescheduled after your appointment reminder the evening before or the same day of your appointment will be charged the full price of the scheduled service.
